When should I take a pregnancy test?
For the most accurate result, pregnancy testing is best done after the first day of a missed period. This gives your body enough time to produce detectable levels of hCG, a hormone made by cells that form the placenta after a fertilized egg implants in the uterus.

Why do I need an ultrasound?
A positive pregnancy test is just the beginning. A limited OB ultrasound tells you how far along you are, confirms the pregnancy is located in the uterus, and shows how the pregnancy is developing, details that a pregnancy test simply cannot provide.
If your pregnancy test comes back positive at our clinic, you may be eligible for a limited OB ultrasound performed by one of our trained medical team members, who will walk you through everything you are seeing.
How can I figure out how far along I might be?
Pregnancy begins at conception, when a sperm fertilizes the egg. However, because sperm can remain in a woman’s reproductive tract for five days and a woman’s ovulation date varies, it’s difficult to know when conception actually occurred.
Add in implantation timing and bleeding, and it can take a while to recognize a missed period and receive a positive pregnancy test.
Therefore, the only way to truly determine how far along you are (gestational age) is with an ultrasound. An ultrasound will take official measurements and estimate a due date if you were to carry to term.
Do I have to pay for services?
All services at Aspire Women’s Clinic are offered at no cost to you. No insurance, no copay, no out-of-pocket expenses of any kind.

We protect patient information and never share it without your consent. You do not need to disclose any details you’re uncomfortable sharing with us.
Aspire Women’s Clinic provides confidential care regardless of legal status. Our staff are sensitive to deportation concerns.
Do you offer abortion referrals?
Aspire Women’s Clinic offers accurate, evidence-based information about abortion so you can feel fully informed and empowered to make your own choice.
However, Aspire Women’s Clinic does not perform or refer for abortions.
Can I bring a support person?
Absolutely. You are welcome to bring someone you trust to your appointment. Your partner or support person is welcome to wait in our lobby and can join you in the room once you have had a chance to speak with your care coordinator privately first.
Of course, if you would rather come alone, that is completely fine, too. This is your appointment, and we are here for you either way.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Just a photo ID, such as a driver’s license or student ID. That is really all you need. No insurance card, no payment, nothing else required.
Do you offer telehealth appointments?
Yes! If you are unable to make it into one of our locations, our telehealth nursing service is a great option. Our telehealth nurses are available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST.

What is abortion pill reversal?
Abortion pill reversal (APR) is a process that may allow you to continue your pregnancy if you have taken the first abortion pill and are having second thoughts.
Reach out to us for urgent help if you want to start abortion pill reversal.
The protocol works by using progesterone, a hormone your body naturally produces, medical professionals may be able to counteract the effects of the first pill. It is most effective when started within 24 hours, but there have been successful cases up to 72 hours after taking the first pill.
